Ninety-five percent of my assets drive out of the gates every night, and it’s my job to make sure they come back the next day.
Jim Goodnight, SAS Institute
This weekend, InternetDevels Drupal web agency held Teambuilding and Career Forum, which brought together everyone interested in developing and motivating the most valuable assets of their companies — their staff. Company CEOs, project managers, and HR managers from totally different business areas came together to exchange their experience and find solutions to their companies’ key problems.
"The need for such an event is dictated by the state of things in the field of recruiting and organizing the staff," say the Forum’s organizers. "Every day, the number of job positions grows, and the number of CVs per one vacancy grows as well. However, every day, the competition for experienced professionals gets even tougher. That is why companies are looking for answers to such important issues as how to build a highly effective team and how to develop and motivate the staff within the company. Team-building and Career Forum gave the answers to all these questions and more!"
The Forum was held in two streams of speeches, where 17 speakers shared their experience and solutions to common situations. In total, the event gathered 100 participants.
All speeches were divided into 4 areas:
- The practices of team-building and improving employee productivity
- Staff motivation
- The "staff-client” interaction
- Personnel management.
Representatives of such companies as Ciklum, Vodafone Ukraine, SKF Ukraine and PM Business Solution spoke about team-building and improving employee productivity. Each of the speakers had often solved the issues of building effective teams and preventing destructive processes within them in their work. They had also been effective at growing talents inside their teams.
The issue of motivation was also actively discussed at the Forum. In particular, representatives of Work.ua, Halychyna and PM Business Solution spoke about it. They focused on gamification, internal and social initiatives, and new motivation theories.
No business is possible without clients. Communication with them is first of all provided by the sales department or the client relations department. But how well do they do it, does it meet all the company’s values? This was discussed by four other speakers: representatives of Merezhko Digital, Roksolana Company, as well as business coaches directly involved in working with companies to improve the processes of cooperating with customers.
Each company has its own structure: teams, team leads, and a career ladder. All these issues were discussed by speakers who were skilled in these areas. A big focus was on leadership, career, and employee development.
The day of Teambuilding and Career Forum was extremely rich in events and complex. It had a very nice ending — a prize draw from our partners eLearning Hub. Branded mugs, memory drives and thermos jugs found their lucky owners.
We hope to meet again soon!
